The Salt and Pepper Pork Chops were excellent as usual! Great service and one of the best Asian restaurants in Jax.
MoreService was extremely slow and when food arrived we were so disappointed. The Seafood Pan Fried Noodles was very dry, hardly any seafood or sauce in it and I have had many better ones at other Chinese restaurants and theirs was just awful!!! There was also no soy sauce salt hot oil pepper chopsticks on the table. I would never go there again nor I would recommend them.
MoreGreat authentic Chinese food. Way better quality than your typically Chinese take out restaurant. Great variety of options with family style portions to share.
MoreThe food here is fantastic and so is the service. One on d my favorite places to come for Wonton soup because it’s delicious and the portion is huge
MoreGood food. During the quarantine they were quite busy, but the food was warm and our order was accurate - we didn't have to wait long. Order earlier in the evening if you can. Our family all ordered something different and we all were pleased with our meals. I like very simple Asian food and the General Chicken and Sweet and Sour did not disappoint. Thank you!
MoreFirst time ordering from them and it was very good.
Good service and great food at a reasonable price. Call ahead for take out.
Best place of Asian Food in Jax. Roasted Duck is the best.
Authentic cantonese restaurant ! Peking duck is a must !
Fantastic food!I got the fried rice with chicken and salt fish && BBQ pork and bok choy. Both dishes were perfect! Not super salty like you find in most other Chinese restaurants.Absolutely will visit again for the duck.
MoreDefinitely is out of ordinary chinese food, and you know it when the place is full or asian people. I had the house fried rice and the Moo Goo Gai Pan with added sea food. The rice had a awesome flavor that when put together with the other dish it was a perfect combination, and if you put a little of the very simple hot red chilly sauce in it, you are in heaven.... completely recomended. The service was exellent. I will be back to try other dishes I am sure I won't be disappointed.
MoreGreat tasting food! The sweet corn chicken soup and fried rice are super!
Just to see what’s on the menu, I walked in. Asked for a menu.. looking for something quick like an appetizer.. . Chicken egg rolls, $2.50 ok. “Give me four.” “Not egg rolls but spring rolls came .. to go!” Wow.. oh and..
MoreGood place to eat. Not as authentic as the Chinese restaurant in Houston but they are good. The waiter was amazing!
MoreOne of my favorite dishes here is Perking Duck. Their duck is better than Pagoda Restaurant. On the other hand, they don't have very many selection when it comes to Dim Sum. Overall, it's a good restaurant.
MoreI like coming here when I'm craving authentic Chinese food. The place is right be Jax oriental market, in the little plaza across from the neighborhood Wal-Mart. The decorations inside are simple but inviting. The staff and service are prompt. They also do private parties here and catering for reasonable price. The food is great here, everything is made to order, they serve it like family style. My favorite dishes are the fresh deep fried while fish ($28.90 or market price) serve with white rice, Beef chaw pong and coconut shrimps. The ingredients are fresh and the flavors are on point. If you like authentic Cantonese food, this is also place to checkout. I don't think they have delivery service but the place is a decent size for dine in. The menu has a variety of Asian dishes so it's worth a visit.
MoreGreat menu. Large selection of great Chinese dishes. Singapore noodles were amazing.
More"The most authentic Cantonese style restaurant in all of Jacksonville! It is definitely worth a visit. I recommend the beef with broccoli." - Ansel Ponce Diama
MoreThe food is good, had the salt and pepper fish with tofu: very well prepared. The tofu was crispy on the outside, and very well textured on the inside. The fish was tilapia, fried very well. They use a very fine salt, which pushes a good meal into greatness. Lots of selection with the American standards as well.
MoreJennifer for decades has brought genuine Chinese cuisine to the North Florida Area. Her Chicken Curry is on point. Please also consider the Sweet and Sour Chicken cutlets without the excessive breading light and delicious. Be sure to get the extra large hot and sour soup and the beef soup with tofu and cilantro. Both size large will feed a family of four as a great appetizer. My wife is specially loves the Pork cutlet and Steamed Biscuits appetizer served as the main meal with a side of white rice. And last but not least don't forget to try the Hot Pot Chinese Broccoli. Just remember closed on Tuesday. If I could give Jennifer, Kevin, and the team 7 stars I would.
MoreCancelled my order from door dash even though I ordered within the timeframe they claim to take orders. Guess what? I won't order again. Bad customer service. Guess they don't want new customers.
MoreI enjoyed my chicken and broccoli, the vegetables were fresh and crisp and cooked just right. The vegetable spring roll was probably the best I've ever had. My husband said his spicy chicken dish was seasoned perfectly.
MoreWe love this place! Best Chinese food I have ever had. Everything on the menu is amazing. We try to order something new every time and are never disappointed. We love the big round tables with the lazy susans for sharing family style on special occasions, including the night we got engaged!
MoreThe best Chinese restaurant I've been to in Jacksonville. Their Peking Duck and hot pots are out of this world.
MoreI have been going to Peony’s for years now but haven’t been in a while. Definitely, a lot has changed. I noticed the serving portion has changed and what used to be meant for sharing is now good for a single person. I can’t agree more to other comments about how small the portions have become. I went and ordered for Singapore style rice noodles and was very disappointed. It was a little weird because part of the serving was hot and part was not hot? How did that happen??? You will know if a dish is freshly cooked, but mine was not. It was disappointing that some Chinese take-out chains have far better quality food that what I had at Peony’s which is a sit down restaurant. I gave them 2 stars for the reason that I really liked the crispy wonton I had for appetizer. Overall experience was not that spectacular. :(
MoreVery good Chinese food and the dining room is currently open at a limited capacity
MoreWe order the food from phone and they asked the phone number . When we got there ,we call first if food is ready . She didn’t know which order is ours. We repeat again and paid by credit card through the phone . She told us she will bring food to our car and she said she saw the car park there .we had been waiting long time in the car . Almost over 20-30 mins since we got there . Finally we walked in .food sat there ,she didn’t call us and didn’t bring food to the car . If she didn’t talk us wait ,we could walk in early to get food . I don’t know how they run business . It is terrible service I have never experienced .
MoreFood is great! Clean restaurant and friendly service 👍
I ordered delivery and asked for egg rolls and was given spring rolls. Also paid 14$ for some sesame chicken that definitely was not worth the money. Drowned in sauce and there is only like 7 pieces of chicken in this thing. Feel like I was scammed. Wish my favorite Chinese restaurant, Little China on Old St. Augustine, was open so I didn't have to resort to this rip off.
MoreWhen my husband and I decided to try this place we walked in and wanted to order take-out. The menu is amazing and there are items in it that do not have an English translation. At the time, a manager (maybe the owner?) was sitting at one of the tables and he had obviously been drinking heavily. After we placed our order and paid for our food he began to yell at us in his language. We don't know what he said exactly, but the message was clear due to his body language and gestures. He wanted us to leave before we received our food. My husband told him that we would leave as soon as we had the food that we paid for.It was clear to us that he didn't want us in his restaurant due to our race. I do not recommend eating here.2018 - the restaurant has been revamped and this review no longer applies.
MoreDelicious. Very authentic. My parents even said it was their favorite place to go for dinner when they're in town because it's the closest to their kind of food.
MoreSo so delicious! 👍salt and pepper wings were excellent! Fast, friendly service. Little pricey but worth it. Much better than the Chinese restaurants at every corner.
